Customer data, handled with care
Medicine names linked to a person are health information. This is how PharmaConnect treats it, in plain language.
What we hold
The customer’s name and WhatsApp number, their language and pharmacy, their messages and photos, their orders and reminders, and records of their consent. A skin profile is saved only if the customer agrees.
Who can see it
Each pharmacy sees only its own customers and orders. Staff sign in to the portal and see what their role allows. Prescription photos are stored privately and opened from the order.
Consent
Marketing messages and welcome campaigns are sent only with consent, and customers can opt out at any time. Nothing from the pharmacy interrupts a customer in the middle of a chat.
Deletion
Customers can ask for their data to be deleted, through their pharmacy or directly by email. Saved baskets are removed after 90 days and unused skin profiles after 12 months.
Where data is stored
Our database is hosted in the United Kingdom (London). Messages travel through WhatsApp, which is run by Meta. The full list of service providers is in our privacy policy.
The pharmacy’s records
Records a pharmacy must keep by law, such as dispensing records, are kept for the period its country requires.
Pharmacy groups can ask us for more detail on data handling and hosting options as part of their review.
